Recently, RIM revealed a range of new devices running on version 7 Operating system. There are a lot of smartphones present in market from BlackBerry like BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Torch 9810, now its turn to the most anticipated device ‘BlackBerry Torch 9860’. It is a solid built mobile phone with a large metal back plate and touch front screen bezel & size.

At 135 gram, BlackBerry Torch 9860 is not heavy and oversized at 120mm by 62mm by 11.5mm. The top and bottom edges are tapered which gives it an attractive look. There are four familiar buttons- Call, End, Back and the distinctive BlackBerry menu button inside. There is also a configurable convenience key on the edges which by default 5 megapixel rear facing camera. The camera also supports auto focus, Geo-tagging, continuous auto focus, image stabilization and face detection.

BlackBerry Torch 9860 measures 3.7 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen and has a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The mobile phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor along with 768MB of RAM. The user accessible storage is 4GB in which you can store images, videos & important document. The other features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, quad band GSM & HSPA mobile broadband at 14.4 Mbps down and 5.76 Mbps up.

If you are die hard fan to the BlackBerry keyboard shortcuts then you can go to the BlackBerry menu button and choose show keyboard then use the shortcuts. The device supports a 1230 mAh battery and generally BlackBerry delivers pretty good battery life. Even the overall performance of the mobile phone is acceptable. You can also add up to 32GB more storage via the micro SD card slot. The design sits somewhere in between RIM’s range & Samsung Galaxy’s line.
