HTC Sensation XL – Stylish, Slim & Well Made Device With a Nice interface

HTC officially revealed its first new device, sporting Beats by Dr. Dre audio technology and it is now available in UK. The smartphone is specially aimed for music lovers and comes with the in-ear Beats audio earphones instead of over ear headphones.
Let take a detailed look:
1. The Display – HTC Sensation XL has hefty 4.7 inch WVGA display with resolution of 800×480 pixels. There is a powerful 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Single core processor backed up by 768MB of RAM & 16GB of internal storage.
The Gorilla glass screen is large & tough and gives you the ultimate multi media experience. The amazing thing is Beat techs makes a noticeable difference to the audio output and deeper bass. The other features are HTC Sense UI 3.5, Gyroscope sensor, touch-sensitive controls, multi touch input method, Proximity sensor for auto turn off & accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate.
2. The Camera – HTC Sensation XL features an 8 megapixel rear mounted camera with low light specializing wide angle f/2.2 28mm lens with dual LED flash. There is a secondary 1.3 megapixel snapper which can be found round the front. The camera also has impressive 720p video recording capabilities and also supports Geo-tagging & auto focus.
3. The Interface – The Sensation XL is revealed as a 4.7 inch Android Gingerbread smartphone and comes with a new sync client for iTunes. Beat audio technology is paired with a reskinned player and the interesting thing is you can switch on & off sound enhancement by a Beats ‘button’. The newly skinned music player offers an improved set of features but a little complicated in use.
4. The Battery Life – HTC Sensation XL supports a standard Li-Ion 1600 mAh battery and you will probably be able to get some days worth of battery life out of it. The talk time is around 11 h 50 min for 2G & 6 h 50 min for 3G and standby time is 360 h for 2G & 460 h for 3G.
5. Conclusion – The audio, video & camera of the HTC Sensation XL are highly impressive. And 1.5 GHz processor makes it an incredibly fast device with steaming through multi-media. The handset is sleek 9.9 mm thin which feels just right. Overall, it is a slim, stylish and well made smartphone with impressive interface.
