LG Optimus 3D & HTC EVO 3D: The War Between 3D Smartphones

There are two new 3D smartphone present in the market ‘LG Optimus 3D & HTC EVO 3D’ which packed with some creative features such as a glasses-free 3D display and dual cameras capable of recording 3D images & videos. We bring to you a full comparison review, lets check out-
1. The Dimension- LG Optimus 3D & HTC EVO 3D are 3D smartphones and packed with some amazing features. In size wise, both of the smartphones are around 12 mm thick but are quite weighty as compare to other 3D devices. The weight of the Lg Optimus 3D is around 168 gram while the weight of HTC EVO 3D is around 170 gram.
2. The Screen- Both, LG Optimus 3D & HTC EVO 3D supports expensive 4.3 inch touchscreen and also designed to make the most of glasses free 3D fun. While EVO 3D packed with higher resolution 960*540 pixel as compare to the Optimus 3D WVGA 400*800 pixel. The EVO 3D also has more dots per inch at 256 dpi than to the Optimus 3D 217 dpi. But you can find phone menus, background, app icons and rest look sharper in HTC EVO 3D.
According to me, the Optimus 3D screen has better view angle and also perform much better in direct sunlight. I tested both of the smartphone’s screens with the brightness cranked to max and Optimus 3D comes out with greater legibility.
3. The Hardware- HTC EVO 3D is a perfect combination of a faster processor (1.2 GHZ CPU) and a nice amount of RAM. Both of the handsets supports HDMI connectivity. There was a rumor that HTC EVO 3D has 4 GB of internal memory but when it release, it comes with internal memory of 1 GB. In this tech LG Optimus 3D take the cup of cake, its internal memory is 8 GB which is far better than Evo 3D. Whereas the HTC EVO 3D also has impressive battery life and better than Optimus 3D.
4. The Camera- Both the mobile phones features 5 megapixel camera which are on the back of the devices. You can also find a secondary cameras and specially used for video calls. The cameras are also capable of recording impressive 3D 720p videos. LG Optimus 3D is undoubtedly better camera for 2D images. The HTC EVO 3D is capable to record 2D videos at full HD with resolution of 1920*1080 pixel as compare to the HTC EVO 3D with resolution of 1280*720 pixel.
HTC EVO 3D offers 1.3 megapixel secondary camera and better than Optimus 3D’s 0.3 megapixel camera. 3D videos looks a little sharper than HTC EVO 3D but for 3D images, HTC EVO 3D is winner in term of both details and in creating a more convincing sense of immersion.
5. The Software- HTC EVO 3D is running on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread which is the most up to date version of Android mobile phones. Whereas LG Optimus 3D is running on Android 2.2 Froyo Operating system which is not latest but enough fast. Even the UI addition of LG Optimus 3d are plus point & redesigned stock browser layout in particular is much better.
6. Conclusion- LG Optimus 3D & HTC EVO 3D, both of the devices have pretty similar specs. The interesting thing is both of the smartphones are currently pegged at the same prize on Sim free deal. HTC EVO 3D has a stronger processor along with a 1 GB Of RAM which helps to run 3D games & videos while the Optimus 3D has exclusive 3D gaming content.
According to me-HTC EVO 3D edges it with a performance boast Sense along with a dedicated camera button.
