Nokia Lumia 800 is the first smartphone to spring form the Microsoft/Nokia tie up and now available in UK. It will run on the latest version of Operating system- Window phone 7.5 Mango OS.

Let see what features makes it a smartphone:

Tech Specs – Nokia Lumia 800 supports a 3.7 inch display which curves seamlessly into the polycarbonate unibody of the handset. It looks like the fifth generation iPod touch from Apple. The display highlight AMOLED & ClearBlack technologies and has resolution of 480×800 pixels. The device has dimension of 116.5×61.2×12.1 mm and just 142 gram in weight.

Nokia Lumia is powered by a 1400 MHz Qualcomm MSM8255 single core processor along with a 512Mb of RAM. The internal memory is 16GB on board but there is no additional memory card slot. For connectivity, there are Wi-Fi, microUSB, Bluetooth 2.1 plus EDR, Bluetooth stereo audio, USB 2.0 high speed & 3.5 mm AHJ connector.

Nokia Lumia 800 supports BV-5JW 3.7v 1450 mAh battery which guarantees 13 hour 3G talk time and 9.5 3G talk time. There is an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus and can capture videos at 720p. The device operates on Microsoft Window phone 7.5 Mango OS and Mango added 250 new features such as a tile based homescreen, cloud storage, Metro UI, Internet Explorer 9 and a lot more.

Major features – Nokia Lumia 800 is the first smartphone on WP from the Nokia mobile maker. There is a Window Phone 7.5 Mango Operating system running which is a new version of Window phone. An 8 megapixel camera is another fantastic feature of the mobile phone and can record videos at 720p. The handset has extensive Social media integration.

Drawbacks – There is no dual core processor and Microsoft set single core processor as standard for WP7.5 smartphone. No front camera means video chatting is not possible.

Conclusion – Nokia Lumia 800 is a slick & engaging device with latest version of WP- Mango 7.5 Operating system. Its new software has amazing social media integration. However the camera and the processor are not impressive but I think there is better to come from Nokia on the window phone front.
