The two upcoming variants of the popular HTC Desire smartphone, the Desire HD and Desire Z, is that they have been delayed by two weeks.
While various sources were anticipating their arrival next week – including Vodafone who had the Desire HD up as expected to ship on the 15th – now retailers are stating that they won’t be out until the end of October.
Android Police reports that both phones have failed last minute Google “type approval” testing, and thus that will obviously have to be sorted before they hit the market.
The Desire HD comes with a 4.3 inch LCD display, a 1GHz processor, and an 8 megapixel camera with dual flash capable of 720p HD recording. The Desire Z has a 3.7 inch display, an 800MHz processor, a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 5 megapixel camera which can also handle 720p recording.
