Starting with a reservation page coming Friday (Aug 13), Sprint has announced it will deliver the new Samsung Epic 4G Android smartphone beginning August 31 this month. Featuring a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, the Epic 4G is one of the Galaxy S-series Android smartphones. Compare with the original Galaxy S, it now has a LED flash, slide-out QWERTY hardware keyboard and supports the 4G network. It will initially launch with Android 2.1 and a Android 2.2 Froyo upgrade later this year.
