Android market downloads has reached exponential figures from the early days of its launch. Google has stated that the Android apps have totally amassed 10 billion downloads, with downloads continuing to roll out at lightening speeds.
Google states on its official blog “This past weekend, thanks to Android users around the world, Android Market exceeded 10 billion app downloads—with a growth rate of one billion app downloads per month. We can’t wait to see where this accelerating growth takes us in 2012.”
In the celebration of reaching the 10 billion download mark, Google is offering some games on 10p price like cult puzzler, Minecraft, Asphalt 6 HD, Soundhound Infinity, Great Little War Game, Endomondo Sports Tracker Pro, Paper Camera, Color & Draw for Kids, Sketchbook Mobile, Swiftkey X and Fieldrunners HD.
Android Market is still some way behind the Apple’s App store for iPhone, iPad and iPods which have now amassed 18 billion app downloads.
