Exynos 5250 has been unveiled by Samsung. Its predecessor Exynos 4210 has been used to power the hot-selling Samsung Galaxy S2. Exynos 5250 is a dual core 2 GHz processor which is being touted to be the powerhouse for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung Galaxy S3 was previously being rumored to boast a dual core 1.8 GHz processor, which has now been cleared that it can be the 2GHz dual core boasting Exynos 5250 processor.

Samsung has claimed that it is four times faster than its predecessor, supports stereoscopic 3D and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It is also highly possible that the chip will find its way to power the high end Samsung’s tablets.

Exynos 5250 boasts a bandwidth of up to 12.8 Gbps and has two ARM based Cortex A 15 cores. Exynos 5250 is built using the low power HKMG 32nm process. The Samsung’s recent chipset is a first of its kind Soc for mobile devices which manages to clock 2.0 GHz.
